The ONU-F01D Series consists of ONU-F01D500, ONU-F01D200 and ONU-F01D100. They are medium-/small-/mini-sized outdoor front maintenance equipments of HONET series respectively.
The ONU-F01D noted in the following part refers to the ONU-F01D500, the ONU-F01D200 and the ONU-F01D100.
As an integrated access equipment, the ONU-F01D500/200 provides various voice and data services such as Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS), ISDN, Asymmetric Digital Subscriber line (ADSL), Very high speed Digital Subscriber Line (VDSL), LAN, Circuit Emulation Service (CES), FR, and G.Single-pair High-speed Digital Subscriber Line (G.SHDSL). And the ONU-F01D100 provides POTS, ISDN and ADSL services.
The ONU-F01D500/200/100 features high-density access, with a maximum capacity of 800/320/160 inner lines and 1200/480/200 outer lines. Different configurations can be adopted depending on the actual requirements.
The ONU-F01D has the built-in temperature control equipment, which makes it able to work even under non-weather protected environments. It also has perfect Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and protection performance, as well as the vandal protection capacity.
The ONU-F01D supports 110VAC/220VAC power systems.
The ONU-F01D is composed of built-in power distribution equipment (including lightning arrester, power equipment, batteries), service equipment, transmission frame, Main Distribution Frame (MDF), Optical Distribution Frame (ODF), Digital Distribution Frame (DDF) and temperature control equipment (Air conditioner or heat exchanger).
I. Equipment Composition
The ONU-F01D is composed of different modules, including power equipment, temperature control equipment, service frame, cable distribution equipment, MDF, transmission equipment.
Composition of OU-F01D
Dimensions of the ONU-F01D500 are: 1550mm (H) × 1550 mm (W) × 550mm (D). Figure 2-33 shows its structure.
Dimensions of the ONU-F01D200 are: 1200mm (H) × 1250mm (W) × 550mm (D). Figure 2-34 shows its structure.
Dimensions of the ONU-F01D100 are: 900mm (H) × 760mm (W) × 420mm (D). Figure 2-35 shows its structure.
The power equipment of the ONU-F01D is composed of lightning arrester, power system and batteries. It is suitable for 110V/220V power system and can provide uninterrupted power in combination with batteries.
The protection of AC power interface: The lightning arrester of the ONU-F01D is divided into two specifications according to different power equipment. It has: 110V and 220V single-phase AC lightning arrester, for protection of AC power system and temperature control equipment.
Standby power supply: The ONU-F01D500 employs two groups of 75AH batteries, which can power the equipment for 8 hours, and the ONU-F01D200 employs Two one group of 38AH batteries, which can power the equipment for 8 hours.
The protection of AC power interface: The ONU-F01D100 adopts 40kA “3+1” lightning arrester, for protection of AC power system and temperature control equipment.
Standby power supply: The ONU-F01D100 employs one group of 26AH batteries, which can power the equipment for 4 hours.
MDF protection: Two-level protection, including security unit on MDF and subscriber boards, is available for subscriber interfaces. The protection measure complies with K.20/K.21.
Diesel generator interface: The ONU-F01D provides interfaces for connection with standby diesel generator.
Temperature Control Equipment
ONU-F01D500 adopts APW T50 air conditioner or 50H heat exchanger.
ONU-F01D200 adopts APW T36 air conditioner or 36H heat exchanger.
ONU-F01D100 adopts Dantherm PX023020 heat exchanger, No air conditioner configuration.
The heat exchanger is recommended to use at medium-/low-temperature environments.
The air conditioner is recommended to use at the place with highest environment temperature exceeding 450C.
The service frame of ONU-F01D500/200 includes UA5000 Universal Access Unit (UA5000) master frame/slave frame (UAFM/UAFS) and broadband service frame. There are fan frames and cabling frames between service frames, which can be configured as required by the actual service configuration.
The service frame of ONU-F01D100 is UA5000 service frame (UAFX).
The MDF of ONU-F01D is built into the cabinet. The inner-outer line convergence ratio is rather large, which provides operators with flexible configuration schemes. The ODF and DDF are provided at the same time. Table 2-17 shows the inner line and outer line configurations of ONU-F01D.

When the OptiX 155/622H optical transmission equipment is configured in the transmission frame, it is connected with the main control/subscriber frame through E1 interfaces. At the same time, it provides signal transmission channel between ONU and OLT and between different ONUs.
If only broadband service is configured, the transmission frame can be directly connected with other devices through FE, STM-1, or STM-4 interfaces upstream.
Only ATU transmission unit board can be configured in the ONU-F01D100, it is connected with the main control/subscriber boards through E1 interfaces. At the same time, it provides signal transmission channel between ONU and OLT and between different ONUs.
Service Configuration of Overall System
The ONU-F01D features flexible configuration, that is, the numbers of broadband (ADSL, VDSL) or narrowband (POTS) subscribers can be dynamically adjusted when necessary. Table 2-18 shows the configuration of the ONU-F01D.

The ONU-F01D500 is composed of such functional modules as UA5000, MA5100, MA5105, and S3026V. Figure 2-36, Figure 2-37 and Figure 2-38 show three typical configuration examples in which UA5000 and MA5100 are adopted respectively.
